I wanted to migrate my blogs from Blogger to WordPress so all my blogs are in one place. Since I already had 3 blogs on WordPress I thought it a good idea to shift the 2 Blogger ones over so they are all central. It just suits me that way now. Blogger was where I started blogging and I am very grateful to that platform for giving me the confidence to grow as a blogger. The smaller blog has shifted over very easily. It took about 10 minutes and am now tidying up the presentation. The big and original blog might be a bit more complicated but I am now very confident in the process. It is actually good to see that sites can co operate so well.
To migrate a blog you log into the Blogger dashboard, select Settings, select Other and then select Backup. I backed the file up to my desktop. In WordPress you go to WP-Admin, select Tools and then select Import. Make sure you have set your new blog up first on WordPress with its template.
