Apps for Earth

I like this a lot. It shows initiative. It’s positive, it will make a difference and it’s altruistic. What a nice change on the planet. There are apps which are donating revenue from  their specifically created in app content via purchases so that ALL the funding goes to the World Wildlife Fund. The project will coincide with Earth Day, Friday April 22. You can read all about it on TechCrunchHay Day WWF. I have done my bit on Hay Day. I bought their WWF diamonds for $7.99, got to redecorate my shop with a WWF banner and received a beautiful panda statue for free. So cute. If the things were in a shop I’d support this organisation. Hay Day is currently my favourite game. Games are ubiquitous and so this is a good , non intrusive way to allow people the opportunity to participate in supporting charity organisations and initiatives of their choice . There is no compulsion and no pushing. It’s presented as an opportunity and choice. I really like that.
